research excellence framework (ref)
the research excellence framework (ref) is the system for assessing research in uk higher education institutions (heis). the university will make its submission to the next ref (ref 2021) in november 2020. the assessment phase will take place in 2021 with the outcomes of the ref published in december 2021.
issf
institutional strategic support fund (issf) supported by wellcome
the university of dundee was awarded a £3.75 million institutional strategic support fund (issf) in 2016 from wellcome to support a variety of activities for the next 5 years. this follows £5 million of previous funding which has supported many strategic activities since october 2011.
